  • Elverhoj Museum of Solvang, Ca
    The historic hand-crafted structure was the dream home of Viggo Brandt-Erichsen, and his wife, Martha Mott. Their home was styled after the large farmhouses of the 18th century Jutland in northern Denmark, and was opened to the public in May of 1988. Today Elverhoj is one of the few museums outside of Denmark devoted solely to the Danish culture and the Danish-American experience.

Olsen’s Danish Village Bakery
Danish owned and operated for four generations, it is the winner of four Gold Cups and the Blue Ribbon Best breads. Originally established in Denmark in 1890, it is located in Solvang, California.

    DR is the country’s only purely licence-financed radio/TV station. The full licence financing means that DR programming is independent of advertising. DR has a public service obligation requiring DR Radio and DR TV to present a wide choice of programmes for all age and social groups. The public service obligation also means that DR must provide objective and professional news coverage. DR is the country’s largest electronic news provider on radio, television and the Internet, and news and current affairs are a cornerstone for DR as a public service station.
